What is the best way to put different images in my horizontal primary navigation menu using HouseMenu?

My client wants each menu item to look like a differently shaped opaque leaf with the menu text sitting on top of that leaf. Each menu item has a different leaf image and is only displayed (on) when that page is active.

The Admin and Host menu items would be at the end (and don’t need a leaf).

Thanks!

i'm trying to do pretty much the same thing. the css menu i've designed uses background replacement to show different parts of the same image on different menu items when hovered over.

i've had a good look around the web and this unanswered post is the closest i've come. can anyone help? even a pointer in the right direction would be very helpful.

thanks!

When HouseMenu builds the menu markup, it gives an id to each LI and each A using the page ID. For example, the menu item for a given page might be rendered with an id of "HouseMenuNavItem321" and the link inside the item with an id of "HouseMenuNavLink321". You could use these selectors to style each menu item with an image, but you would have to know the page IDs and actually code them right into your CSS.
