- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ¼ tablespoon salt
- ¼ tablespoon ground black pepper
Baked broccoli is a simple dish that can be made in less than 30 minutes in your convection oven, so it could become one of your favorite side dishes for both lunch and dinner.
Many people think that to cook broccoli you inevitably have to boil it, but with this technique you won’t have to worry about it, since we will take advantage of the heat of the oven to soften the little trees and make them much softer and easier to chew.
cleaning the vegetable
The first thing you should do to prepare this broccoli recipe is take the vegetable and clean it. Wash it with tap water and then proceed to chop it, so that you can remove the central stem, since it is very hard for the recipe. Also take the opportunity to chop the garlic cloves, previously removing all the shell. This way you can cut them more easily.
Seasoning and preparing
The next step is to season everything. Take the broccoli with the garlic to a clean pan to bathe them with the oil and lemon juice. To finish, season with salt and pepper. Make sure that all the pieces are bathed with the mixture, so that the flavors are integrated and can intensify during cooking.
When you have them ready, take a tray and put baking paper on it, to cover the entire surface. This will prevent the broccoli from sticking together and make cleanup easier later.
When you have the tray ready, proceed to pour the broccoli pieces on the tray, taking care that they do not pile up on top of each other, to guarantee a homogeneous cooking. When finished, simply take the tray to the oven.
Before cooking the broccoli, you should have heated the oven until it reaches 200 ° C or 400 ° F, to be able to put them at the right temperature and start the process immediately.
The cooking time of the broccoli inside the oven will be approximately 15 minutes or until you begin to notice that it is browning on all sides. Once you see this, it’s time to take them out.
Grab a pair of oven mitts and carefully open the oven door to remove the tray. You can serve the arbolitos immediately while they are still hot. If there are any leftovers, we advise you to store the rest in an airtight container in the fridge where they should last for at least 3 to 5 days.
