1) Sea bass in green sauce

Among the types of fish, sea bass is an option that almost always works well. In addition, it is a fish in green sauce that you will have ready in 15 minutes.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 clean fillets
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 handful of fresh parsley
  • 100 milliliters of white wine
  • 1 teaspoon of flour
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 250 ml of water

Preparation: In a deep frying pan, fry the fish over high heat; one minute on each side will suffice. Reserve the fillets on a separate plate, to use the same pan and make the sauce. Add the finely chopped onion and garlic, and then add the flour. Add the white wine and allow the mixture to reduce, then add the chopped parsley. Once the parsley changes color, add the fillets and allow them to cook another 5 minutes, so that the flavors meld.

2) Fish toasts

This recipe can be made with almost any fine boneless fish, such as tuna, and can be perfect for when you don’t have a lot of time to cook . In fact, if you are looking for a fresh salmon recipe that is quick to prepare, you will love this one. 

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of fresh fish without bones
  • 1 tomato
  • ½ onion
  • 1 serrano chili
  • 1 clove garlic
  • the juice of a lemon
  • a small bunch of coriander
  • corn toast

Preparation: You need to have the fish cooked (you can steam it, to preserve its flavor and nutritional properties to the fullest). Reserve it for a few minutes while you prepare the following: chop the onion, chili and garlic clove into small cubes. Add this to a pan with a little hot oil and fry until lightly browned. Then, include the chopped tomato also in cubes and cook without stopping stirring for 2 minutes. Add the fish and season to taste.

To finish, add the coriander leaves and lemon juice and serve on toast. If you prefer, you can decorate with a little lettuce in thin strips.

3) Baked mackerel

There are many mackerel recipes, but this one will surprise you with how easy it is to prepare. Also, you might be interested to know that not only salmon recipes are rich in Omega 3, this Atlantic fish is also a good source of this fatty acid.

Ingredients: 

  • 2 mackerel
  • ½ onion
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 potatoes
  • Salt
  • ground dried garlic
  • Pepper
  • pebrella or dried thyme
  • olive oil

Preparation: Preheat the oven to 200 ºC. Meanwhile, clean the mackerel very well and cut the onion and potatoes into thin slices. Chop the tomatoes into pieces and prepare a bed with the tomatoes, potatoes and onion slices on a baking tray. On this place the mackerels. Season with salt and pepper and add the pebrella and the garlic. Also add the dash of olive oil. Take the tray to the oven and cook for 30 or 45 minutes or until the food acquires the roasted touch that you prefer. Ready, the dish can be served.

4) Cod omelette

Cod recipes are traditional in many regions of Spain. On this occasion, we are going to prepare this fish in a really easy way, with few ingredients and achieving a flavor that the little ones in the house could love. It is probably not one of the Christmas fish recipes that you will have on your list for the end of the year, but you can enjoy its flavor whenever you want.

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of desalted cod crumbs
  • 3 spring onions
  • 6 eggs
  • extra virgin olive oil

Preparation: Start by peeling the spring onions and cutting them into fine julienne strips. Put them to poach in a pan over low heat with a little olive oil until they become transparent and begin to brown. Add the cod crumbs and mix so that the onion is incorporated with the fish evenly. Separately, beat the eggs and add them to the pan, stirring. When you notice that it has curdled at the bottom, place a plate on the pan and turn it over, so that the preparation remains on the plate. Return it to the pan so that it is fried on the opposite side and voila, you will have a delicious cod omelette to accompany a salad, for example, or your favorite vegetable side dish.

5) Grilled salmon

Among the salmon recipes that you can prepare in a short time, the grilled version is the favorite of those in a hurry. In addition, the flavor of the salmon is enhanced with this type of cooking and can be accompanied with almost any side dish.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces of fresh salmon (although they can also be slices or fillets) 
  • olive oil
  • lemon
  • Pepper and salt to taste

Preparation: The secret of grilled preparations is heat, so you should put a large skillet over very high heat. Add a dash of olive oil and wait for it to heat up. Meanwhile, season the salmon and add it to the pan. If you’ve chosen a large piece of salmon, it will take longer to cook, but a couple of minutes is usually enough for a one-centimeter-thick piece. Cook over high heat on both sides and then lower the level of the fire, so that it finishes cooking with its juices.
